In an interdisciplinary team of natural scientists, humanists, legal scholars and activists, Susanne M. Winterling is currently investigating whether the ecosystem of Jamaica’s Glistening Waters can be protected as a biosphere reserve: as a prototype of an ecological “installation” that attempts to take seriously the connection between ecological and social violence or justice.
